Newsletter readers also get 5% off their new pickups setup. Sign up here to receive your code.

Our Vintage Knobs are turned by hand by us here at the Radioshop workshop to give that beautiful rounded vintage Strat look and are available in White, Parchment, Mint, Vintage White and Ivory.

A set will be added to your order in the same colour as your cover colour choice. NB unfortunately Black is not available as the differing plastics do not ‘turn’ well on our lathe to achieve the type of look as seen with the Ivory in the pic above.

The ‘Black Strat’ Set

Our tribute to a legendary Strat set! The Black Strat set is the most requested custom order from our customers and has been a huge pleasure for us to put together. The result of countless hours of research into the engine room behind a classic Strat, we’ve matched the outputs and wire choices to this original ‘Frankenstein set’ exactly and with our hand winding recipe, those of you seeking to nail this classic tone will be delighted with the resulting sound. We had some scepticism at first about that huge bridge output: “Will it be too much for the neck and middle?!” Our first play confirmed we had nothing to worry about – the neck has that classic Formvar warmth, the middle gives biting twang for rhythm work and the transition to the bridge for those towering solos is a smooth one. A lot of fun to play!

Delivery By default all of our pickups are shipped with Royal Mail who we find to be excellent both within the UK and Internationally. Their rates enable us to offer prices that are very reasonable for our customers and the timeframe is great for the vast majority of countries. We find that, once despatched, Royal Mail tend to take 1 working day within the UK, 2/3 working days within the EU, 4/5 working days to North America and Worldwide. These are guidelines and of course some countries differ and the level of ‘officiousness’ in customs departments differs massively worldwide. If ordering from a country which is notorious for taking a while to process imported goods (we can think of a few!) please build this into your expectation on the timeframe after despatch. How long will it take to make? As a small pickup maker handmaking within an extremely busy workshop we expect to complete all pickups sets within 16-20 working days (Relic’ed orders 5 days longer). We sometimes work quicker than those timeframes and we’ll always endeavour to finish your pickups as quick as we are able to of course. We can sometimes process a rush order if you have an upcoming, important concert or perhaps if you are buying for a relative’s birthday etc - feel free to message and we’ll always see what we can do.
